Enshrouded - All information about the early access of the new survival hope

Enshrouded was able to delight many survival fans at Steam Fest last year and subsequently ended up on several wish lists. It was the most played demo at the event, and now Early Access is finally upon us.

Behind Enshrouded is the German development studio Keen Games , which has already achieved success in the past with Portal Knights in collaboration with the publisher 505 Games. When does Enshrouded's early access release?

Enshrouded will start the early access phase on January 24th and, according to the developer, will last for around a year, although they did not want to limit themselves to a fixed period of time.

What is the new survival game about?

The fantasy realm of Embervale is in ruins, and the greed for magic has unleashed a plague on the world. The mist-like Shroud spreads throughout the world, turning living creatures into monsters.

A survival crafting adventure , Enshrouded features action-RPG combat taking place in a large, voxel-based world. As you travel through the mountains and deserts of an open world, you are always free to shape your own destiny.

Now it's up to you, the Flameborn, to save the empire from ruin!

What are the special features of Enshrouded?

BUILD YOUR OWN REFUGE

Voxel-based building allows you to let your creativity run wild and design your fortress exactly the way you want. The crafting system offers you a variety of options for decorating and expanding your home, as well as equipping yourself with armor and weapons. Over time , NPC adventurers will join your refuge, for whom you can complete a few tasks.

ACTION-PACKED BATTLES

As the mist continues to engulf the land and mutate all animals, you fight your way through the creatures that lurk in the Shroud and encounter impressive bosses along the way.

When fighting, you have the opportunity to dodge, parry and counterattack against the enemy. With the skill tree you can develop your own play style; There are three categories available to you: melee, ranged and magic , each of which has active and passive skills.

As usual for a survival game, you start with nothing but the will to survive. You roam the lost kingdom of Embervale and meet various creatures. Fight your way through forests, caves and dungeons and traverse various biomes that await you in the world to unravel the mysteries surrounding Embervale. To explore the world you have a kind of wingsuit or a grappling hook at your disposal!

What content is planned for the future?

Enshrouded is supposed to start the early access phase quite extensively, so you can spend several hours in one biome. However, more content will be added in the future, including new biomes, enemies, materials and crafting recipes.
