Last Epoch - competitor to Diablo 4 and Path of Exile is leaving Early Access

Travel through Eterra's past and face dark empires, wrathful gods, and untouched wilds - to find a way to save time itself from the Void.

Last Epoch is an action RPG that has been in the early access phase since 2019 and combines the best sides of Diablo and Path of Exile. Next week the time has come and “Last Epoch” starts its actual release – the timing couldn’t be better.

Information about the 1.0 release

On February 21st at 6 p.m., Last Epoch will leave the early access phase after 5 years and start the full release.

At the start of the 1.0 version, the game will be expanded to include 2 more mastery classes: the 'Falconer' and 'Warlock' . The graphics will also be polished with the update.

    Class overview

    In Last Epoch you can choose from 5 base classes, each divided into 3 mastery classes:

    • Sentinel (Paladin, Void Knight, Forge Guard),
    • Mage (Sorcerer, Spellblade, Runemaster),
    • Rogue (Bladedancer, Marksman, Falconer),
    • Primalist (Druid, Shaman, Beastmaster),
    • Acolyte (Necromancer, Lich, Warlock)

    Skill system

    With over 100 skills, you have the opportunity to customize your character the way you like. Each skill has its own skill tree, which allows you to extensively define your play style and create powerful synergies.


    The crafting system plays a major role in Last Epoch and offers you a wide range of options to customize your equipment according to your own wishes and to further strengthen it or to make it yourself.

    Endgame content

    Explore and conquer alternate timelines and gain access to new timelines. Conquering a timeline rewards you with blessings that permanently strengthen you.

    Prove yourself in an arena against hordes of opponents, survive wave after wave until your glorious death and immortalize yourself on the leaderboard.

    Whether Last Epoch could steal the throne from the triple-A title Diablo remains to be seen until release. However, the chances of this happening are not bad as a good fan base has already been built up.
