Palworld has turned the gaming world upside down and established itself as one of the most successful games on Steam in record time. Despite criticism that a lot of Pokémon was allegedly stolen, over seven million copies were sold.

With the triumph behind it, developer Pocket Pair is taking the opportunity to present the game's early access roadmap to give players an insight into the coming months.

Palworld: Future plans with PvP, crossplay, bug fixes and other innovations

The Palworld roadmap announces impressive upgrades, with the highest priority clearly being to fix bugs that can significantly impact the gaming experience.

Pocket Pair is committed to fixing these bugs before any other new features, while making plans for further development of the game. Other planned improvements that could make the game even more popular and exciting include not only button mapping adjustments, but also improvements to the AI and Pals pathing.

In addition to the technical optimizations and bug fixes, Palworld will also be enriched with a wealth of exciting new content during the early access phase, for which a release has not yet been set. Here are some features we can expect soon:

  • PvP
  • Raid Bosses (Endgame Content)
  • Pal Arena (PvP for Pals)
  • Various improvements to Xbox features
  • Steam-Xbox Crossplay
  • Server transfers and migrations
  • New islands, pals, bosses and technologies
  • Construction system improvements

The Palworld roadmap reveals an extremely ambitious list of new features, but Pocket Pair has not yet announced a solid timeline for implementing these changes. We are also still in the dark as to how long the game will remain in Early Access.

What is striking is that the roadmap contains no reference to Pal trading, even though it was announced in an earlier announcement. It's unclear whether this feature was removed or simply missed in the roadmap graphic.
